2018 WRC Shows
Welcome to the Woodstock Riding Club
The Woodstock Riding Club grounds are a lovely green space located in the heart of Woodstock. The club was founded in 1947 by area horsemen to provide a place where they could meet and compete.
The club grounds offer two grass rings, stabling for events and an outside trail course. For anyone who is new to showing or those who like to compete in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere it is the perfect venue. We encourage youth participation both as competitors and as show staff and since we are an all volunteer organization we invite members and non members alike to be involved on show and work days in the running of the show and care for the grounds.
The benefits of being members of the club are that you have the opportunity to sign up for year end awards that are presented at the annual banquet in the fall as well as helping to insure that the club will be around for future generations. Our membership is diverse in terms of interests and disciplines, but we all share the love of horses and membership in the club allows you to have a voice in activities and events as well as the opportunity to make new friends. We meet the third Monday of every month and members are welcome to attend any and all meetings. Membership is required to run for a seat on the board or hold office.
The life blood of the club besides the volunteers is sponsorship whether it is a class, an entire show or a year end award. Not only is a way to advertise, but it is a way to honor those who hold a special place in our hearts and our lives. Sponsorships help to offset the costs of running shows as well as make it possible to provide ribbons and trophies for each show and at year end.
